Sabbath Study Notes 10/30/10:
WALK LIKE HE WALKED
How often do you read the bible during the week?
If its not everyday, then what makes us any different than those who live in the world?
Do we know what it will take to walk as the Messiah walked?
Do we know how He walked?
We must know that when we walk the path that He walked, we will become a renewed creature (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Matthew Chapter 4
In the book of Job, we learn that Satan goes before the Most High to obtain permission to tempt Job. In Matthew we can see that Satan tried to tempt the Messiah. If he dares to tempt the Messiah, believe that he can tempt us as well.
What is the process of test and temptation?
Satan goes to the Most High and asks if he can tempt that individual.
Here's another example, In the Book of Jubilees, one would learn that it was Satan who requested permission to tempt Abraham to sacrifice his only begotten son.
Not only does Satan want to tempt you to see what you are going to do, but the Most High will want to see what you will do in this test.
In Matthew Chapter 4, Yeshayah (Messiah) was led by the Spirit into the wilderness - this shows who is in ultimate control. In this test, we can see how the enemy always waits until we are at our weakest point.
A wise man once said, 'Do not make a major decision when you are tired or hungry because it is hard to make a good decision when you are not in your right state of mind.'
In Matthew verse 3, Messiah being at his weakest moment, physically, was tried and tempted to turn stone into bread, for the enemy knew that He was hungry.
Although Messiah was physically weak and hungry, his fasting has made Him spiritually strong. The enemy could not overcome Him in this state. So the learning lesson here is to be led by the Spirit and not by the flesh. He is the greatest example for us to follow.
Best believe that the enemy knows when to pounce on us.
Now, is the servant greater than his master? No, we are tempted as well and the enemy tries us all.
We must stay in the word to learn how to overcome the temptation of the enemy. Learn from our Master, 'A man can't live on bread along'; Spiritual food is what we need. Fasting makes us grow spiritually closer to our Heavenly Father and this process makes us Spiritually stronger. So although the Messiah was hungry from physical food, he was Spiritually strong as he was fasting for 40 days.
True strength comes from the Spirit.
We would be fools to think that Satan does not know when to try you and what to try you with.
We could be anywhere, at any given moment when he obtains the opportunity to try you:
- At school
- Off with your friends
- At work
- Etc.
We must be aware at all times that the enemy tries to keep us from learning and growing in the Word of Truth, which is the only way we can spiritually grow. If he keeps our minds pre-occupied with the things of this world, then what he essentially does is keeps us from obtaining that strength that we need for ourselves and from helping to teach others (of where this spritiual strength is).
Matthew 4:1 - Then Yeshayah was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tried by the devil.
Matthew 4:2 - And after having fasted forty days and forty nights, He was hungry.
Matthew 4:3 - And the trier came and said to Him, "If You are the Son of Most High, command that these stones become bread."
Matthew 4:4-11 - "But He answering, said, It has been written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of Ahayah.'"
If we really mean to do good in serving the Most High, then we can learn from this example that the Messiah is showing us right here. The enemy tries to tempt us in the flesh, but in our Spirit we can overcome. It is important that we understand, just like when His disciples tried to cast out a demon, but they couldn't do it. They asked the Messiah why they couldn't cast out that demon, and the Messiah said in order to cast out that certain type of demon, it required a lot of fasting and prayer. In fasting and praying, we are drawn closer to the Most High and we begin to tap into the Most High's Spiritual power. The emissaries were not fully armoured up in prayer in order to deal with that type of demon.
Therefore, we must all armour up. Satan is trying to take as many people to hell with him as he can. No matter how old you are or how young you are. He doesn't care who he use and whose soul he takes.
Know for a certainty, that everything that the Messiah went through, we must also prepare to endure as well. He was tempted, He was rejected, He was denied and He was persecuted. We must endure these things as well. The key to true faith/belief is to have DESIRE to draw closer to the Most High. With a true fervent desire, one will want to sit down and read the Word and will want to give their life over to the Most High.
Is your desire to read the Word or do you have the desire to do something else?
Without this Word you will NOT enter into the Kingdom to come here on earth. Without the Word of truth, how will you know how to get into the Kingdom?
Don't think that sitting down on Sunday listening to your pastor will be enough to get you into the Kingdom of Heaven. Don't get caught short like in the time of Noah when he tried to warn the people for 120 years of a coming destruction. There is a coming destruction today. Babylon is going to be destroyed. In order to be counted worthy to truly enter into the new Kingdom to come, one must understand that these Sunday preaching pastors who teach of prosperity and not truth is leading their congregation straight to hell. We must walk as our Messiah walked and He walked in accordance to the Most High's ways. He guarded the Most High's commands. It showed all through His actions. He was the only man to walk in the fullness of His belief unto perfection.
He is our Master and We must follow Him. So, to ensure we are not being caught in the snares of the devil, we must read the Word of truth for ourselves and apply it to our lives. As we learn the truth, we must do away with the things of old.
The life of our Master was of one focus and one goal, to be about our Heavenly Father's business.
Luke 2:39-46 - Messiah was a Child and grew and became strong in Spirit.
Children can grow and become strong in Spirit, there is no excuse. When we become spiritually strong, then we are physically strong. Our Messiah was developing at a very young age - at 12 years old. He preferred to be somewhere learning; tending to His Father's business. That is what He wanted to do. If we claim we want to be like Him, then shouldn't we be doing the same?
Luke 2:46- Why was He strong with Wisdom and filled with the Spirit? Because He desired it! Who are we supposed to live like? We are supposed to live just like Him. We are supposed to pattern our lives after His life. We should be about our Father's business, just as He stated in Luke 4:49. He did this even at the age of 12 years old. It starts with the desire to make it a priority to be about the Father's business and be about serving Him and Him only.
1 John 2:3 - And this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands.
Is this what preacher is talking about on Sundays? If preacher is talking on Sunday, he is not guarding the Most High's commands. Seems today that most Sunday preachers are quick to say that the law has been done away with (which can be proven otherwise even in the new covenant), but they have no problem with taking in tithes which is a law brought forth in the old covenant (and they aren't doing that right). We must be careful with who we follow when it comes to our spiritual welfare.
Exodus 20:8-10- "Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. Six days you labour and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of Ahayah your mighty one. You do not do any work - you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates."
1 John 2:4 - The one who says, "I know Him," and does not guard His commands, is a liar and the truth is not in him.
For those who claim that they love our Messiah, but does not guard His commands is a liar and the truth is not in him. What commands is he referring to? He is referring to the law. The same laws that the Messiah followed when He walked this earth. He was showing us how to live, how to exalt truth and how to exhibit true peace.
These Sunday preachers are not teaching the truth if they promote anything contrary to the Most High's Word. The question is, do you know what the Word says for yourself?
1 John 2:5 - But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of the Most High has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are hin Him.
1 John 2:6 - The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.
If you claim to be a believer in the Messiah, then you ought to walk as He walked. The Messiah was in the Word even as a Child and He walked to tend to His Father's business. If we walk as He walked, then we ought to follow the same example He has provided for us. For all those Christian believers who say they believe and love our Messiah, but doesn't guard His commands are caled 'liars' and the truth is not in them. That is the Word of truth that states this.
Again, we must walk as our Messiah walked and He most definitely guarded our Father's commands. He was trained in the Torah, from the Old covenant. This is the information that He was learning when he was in the temples even at the age of 12. Do we dare say that the Old covenant and law has been done away with? It is blasphemy to say that the law has been done away with. The Messiah commands us to still guard and follow the commandments. WE are saved by our belief and our belief will show in our actions that we truly follow our Master; to walk as He walked.
Our Messiah was a true Soldier for the Most High. That is who we are supposed to be trying to be like.
2 Timothy 2:3 - Suffer hardship with us as a good soldier of Yeshayah Messiah.
We are supposed to be in His army, an army of righteousness. The Most High's army.
2 Timothy 2:4 - No one serving as a soldier gets involved in the affairs of this life, in order to please only him who enlisted him as a soldier.
How can we be soldier's of the Most High, if we are too busy focusing on the cares of this world? Is this possible? We must be prepared to make a choice to walk away from this world. This world belongs to Satan.
2 Timothy 2:5 - And if anyone competes in a game, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
We must follow the rules, the commandments. We all have rules we must live by. In righteousness we follow the rules as soldiers for the Most High otherwise we continue in sin. Sin is the transgression of the law. If we guard His commandments, then we no longer walk in sin. If it was impossible for us to never walk in sin, then we would be calling the Messiah a liar when He told the woman who committed adultery to "Go and Sin no more". Yes, we can be perfected, just as our Messiah was perfected. It is possible to not sin. Follow Him and He shows us the way.
Now, as we walk this walk of our Messiah, do we think that this road will be easy? No, it will not be easy, but we musn't give in.
2 Timothy 2:12 - If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also shall deny us.
Example: If we go to church on Sunday and don't honor His command of honoring the Sabbath day, is this not denying our Master? Is this not breaking the rules and the commandments given to us by our Master? How are we saved if we don't follow the rules?
Second Example: If you learn that the TRUTH about Christmas is that it is a pagan holiday tradition that we are commanded NOT to follow, do you still continue to follow that tradition or do you choose walk away from it? (Jeremiah 10)
He will deny us if we deny him. And, we are commanded to walk in Spirit and in TRUTH!
Holidays taught in this society are lies and goes against our Master.
Halloween - The pagan day of the dead.
Thanksgiving - a holiday to celebrate the massacre of the Indians
Christmas - a pagan tradition to worship a diety of sun worship; this worship occurred long before the Messiah was born and He was not born in December. The biggest deception is drawn on this holiday. (Jeremiah 10). This is a holiday taught to our people when we were brought to this land.
Easter - What exactly does bunny rabbits have to do with the Messiah's resurrection? It is related to the diety Ishtar, the fertility goddess worshipped by many ancient gentile nations. A holiday that was taught to our people when we came to this land of the gentiles.
Independence day - we are all born free, but are we all truly free in the country of America? Are the Hebrew Israelites truly free? Such lies! Are soldiers truly fighting for our freedom? Who came here to America to threaten our freedom? Its America who goes and pursues others and initiates wars with them. And we want to be a part of this?
This country promotes homosexuality, pagan worship, cares not for the homeless, this country is built on nothing but lies and on shedded blood.
It is time for us to wake up!! Stop walking around her like slaves and stand up to be the people who the Most High has called us to be.
Be like the Messiah to get the knowledge and wisdom and grow in the Spirit of righteousness.
Wake Up! Seek knowledge, Seek Truth. Be like our Saviour.
The truth will set us free from all this spiritual bondage to these lies and deception of this world. The world has been given into the hands of the wicked. Satan rules this world.
If you want to be a part of this world, you are basically saying you want to serve Satan.
If this is the world you wish to store your treasures up in, then you will not have part in the next Kingdom. The next Kingdom is our Masters.
2 Timothy 2:14 - According to this verse, we don't waste our time with those who do not thirst for truth and for true knowledge. Everything we have been taught in this society is a lie. No one can refute the Truth spoken of in the Word of the Most High. Again, those who claim to believe but don't guard the commands of the Father is a liar and the truth is not in them. Many claim to believe, but aren't willing to display this belief in their actions, by turning away from all this falsehood of lies and deception being taught to this society today.
2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to show yourself approved to the Most High, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of Truth.
You have to study. Its not going to be handed to you!
Don't get in the habit of sitting around and letting someone else teach you what the bible says. We can't be lazy. This word says you must study for your own self!!!
You must read from Genesis to Revelation to understand the WHOLE story. We don't start from the middle of a movie do we? So why start from just the New Covenant? This Word covers all aspects of life and it never gets boring. There is no other book on the planet that can compare to the Word of the Most High of Israel.
2 Timothy 2:19 - Everyone who says they follow and serve the Messiah should be turning away from unrighteousness. How do we know how to turn away from unrighteousness and how to serve Him? By reading the Word. This Bible is about us as a people.
Luke 12:49-53 - The Messiah came to divide. Any walking contrary to the Heavenly Father is an enemy to Him. Messiah divides us from those who truly believe against those who truly don't.
Matthew 10:34-37 - In this verse, we see again that the Messiah states that he comes to divide; those who love father or mother more than Him does not love Him. We are to take up our stake and follow Him. Our true family are those who are serving the purpose of the Heavenly Father (Matthew 12:50).
There will come a time where even our own children will become our enemies if they walk contrary to the Most High. If members of that household do not choose to lay their life down for the Most High, they are essentially the Most High's enemies. An enemy of the Most High is also my enemy, because He is who I truly serve. My heart is for the Most High. My heart belongs to Him (Luke 21:16-17).
Not everybody who says they believe truly believe. One will know the truth by that person's actions.
Matthew 10:33 - If you deny Him, He will deny you.
Actions tells where your heart really is.
2 Timothy 2:22 - We are commanded to "Flee from the lusts of youth, but pursue righteousness, belief, love, peace with those calling on the Master out of a clean heart."
Youthful lusts - things you do before you received the truth of the Word.
When you were young, your thoughts are for the world. When you learn truth, you grow up into spiritual things. When you learn the truth, you put away the things that you were doing before you received the truth.
Those of the world have been taken captive by the devil according to 2 Timothy 2:26.
2 Timothy 2:24 - a servant of the Master must be gentle and patient when teaching. We must attract people to serve the Most High, by how we act and how we carry ourselves. People see with their eyes and that will draw them to want to know more of our Master.
We cannot be out here acting foolish and stupid doing things of this world, to cause people to stumble. We must be able to walk away from this world; set ourselves apart from this world, in order for the world to see the changes in us through our actions. This is what will draw those that we love in this world towards us.
If we are of this world, then we are ensnared by Satan and we serve Satan. We would then be taken captive by him to do his desire and he will become a vessel for Satan. He can then manipulate us like a puppet and get us to do the things he wants us to do. He knows our weaknesses and will keep those things before us to keep us in bondage. He can get us to do anything he wants us to do whenever he gets ready. We must know this about the enemy. Once he goes to the Most High and requests permission to tempt you, if you give into that temptation, then you are his.
Remain in spiritual strength to overcome the enemy.
_________
Honoring your parents goes hand-in-hand with serving the Most High.
Apocrypha, Ecclesiasticus 3:1-15 - It is important that our sons listens to the authority of their mothers. A son who honors his father makes an atonement for his sins. He that honors his father will enjoy his own children and his prayers are heard. He will have long life. He who is obedient to the Most High shall be a comfort unto his mother and he will store up treasures. He that fears the Most High will be humble as a servant. This brings honors to all. An obedient servant lives a long life.
Example:
- Esau grieved his mother.
- Jacob listened to his mother and received the promise.
The curse of a mother roots out foundations.
Treat your parents right, it will melt your sins a way like ice in the warm weather. But, you honor your parents, by honoring your Heavenly Father.
He who forsakes his father is a blasphemer.
He that angers his mother is cursed of the Most High.
Leviticus 24:10-16 - Son was put to death; he was a blasphemer of the Heavenly Father.
Blasphemy - contemptuous; turns aside; goes against
Apocrypha, Ecclesiasticus 3:18 - The greater you are the more humble you should be.
Apocrypha, Ecclesiasticus 3:26 - A stubborn heart shall fair evil at the last, and shall perish there in the end.
This society teaches us to be stubborn. People refuses to change. Some are hardheaded, full of pride and going to do what they want, because a plant of wickedness of Satan has taken root in them.
Conclusion:
Don't get cut off. There is a division taking place. We must submit to the will of the Heavenly Father first.
WE can't serve two masters at the same time. It's time to make a choice.
There is alot going on in the world:
- Regular flu shot now has the swine flu shot.
- People in the gulf breaking out in sores due to the oil spill. This government knows what they are doing and are not helping the people. These are things going on in our world today.
- Food Shortages
- N. Korean shooting against S. Korea
- Coastal guard declared martial law just the other day
- Tsunami's and floods all over the world
The time is at hand. We are getting there and it is time for people to wake up!!!!
